Mining & Civil Operations
From Urgent Fault-Finding to Servicing
At Holeshot Diesel, we work directly with site supervisors, project managers and plant operators to deliver field servicing, breakdown support and mine-spec fit-outs across regional Queensland. We handle everything from urgent fault-finding through to scheduled servicing, labour hire and rebuilds. Our mobile crews travel across the Gympie region, Sunshine Coast, Brisbane and out to Western Queensland, working in the same conditions your machines do — dust, heat and long hours.
We take a practical approach to mining equipment maintenance, making sure the job suits the site, the gear and the deadlines you’re working with. Whether you’re running loaders, dozers, graders, haul trucks or support vehicles, we’re here to keep them moving. Give us a call on 0458 402 299 to talk through support for your site.

Frequently Asked Questions
What’s included in mining equipment maintenance?
Mining equipment maintenance usually includes inspections, fluid servicing, filter changes, fault diagnostics, lubrication, wear checks and basic electrical testing. It also covers repairs to hoses, belts, batteries, cooling systems and other high-failure areas. For larger machines, maintenance may include scheduling component change-outs or rebuilds based on hours worked or site conditions.
What’s the difference between civil and mining maintenance?
Mining maintenance often involves larger machines, stricter compliance and harsher working conditions. Civil maintenance covers gear used on roadwork, subdivision and infrastructure sites — usually with more flexibility in scheduling but similar servicing needs. Both require regular inspections, on-site repairs and solid planning to reduce unexpected downtime.
Can mining or civil equipment be repaired in the field?
Yes — most machines can be diagnosed and repaired on site. Mobile diesel mechanics can handle breakdowns, fault-finding and routine servicing without needing to move the machine. For more complex issues, like full rebuilds or diagnostics requiring workshop gear, follow-up work can be arranged.
What We Service & How
On-Site & Workshop Support
We work on loaders, dozers, graders, haul trucks, light vehicles, site-ready 4WDs and fixed plant. That includes scheduled servicing, breakdown repairs, component change-outs, air con and electrical faults, plus full machine rebuilds when needed.
Most of the time, we’ll complete the work on site — fault finding, diagnostics, hose repairs, pump or component swaps. When it’s not practical to fix in the field, we’ll shift it to our workshop and get it turned around properly. Servicing is aligned with your hours or site targets, whether that’s based on shifts, production or shutdowns.
